I just bought my first sewing machine. It was a rather scary thing for a retired single guy to do. I did not know anything about sewing machines. I had no idea what to look for let alone things like thread tension and different sewing foots. I needed a machine to help me make some canvas and denim bags for fishing gear. I had a friends wife make my first bags. Well I learned quick thanks to best sewing machine for beginners. This site had a lot of solid information on some of the most popular sewing machines. I wanted something that would be simple to operate and yet would be able to work with heavy fabrics. Well the reviews for the Janome Heavy duty were very positive. It did not have a lot of gadgets to worry me just a simple straight forward heavy duty sewing machine. Well now I am making my gear bags and have them for sale in several of the sporting shops in the area. It is a nice way to supplement my retirement income.

Do you need some wedding favor ideas for a country wedding? The country or country western theme can be a popular one because it’s laid back and relaxed. Here is a one fun idea that you can use as a favor that is delicious and will look adorable on your reception tables.
Almost everyone loves to snack so give your guests something delicious to munch on when they are seated at their tables. Most people don’t get in line or aren’t served right away at receptions so it’s nice to give them a small appetizer.
An easy idea that you can use is to buy jam or make your own and then add a gingham fabric cover to the lid and tie with ribbon. This can work for really any theme; you just need to customize your colors as needed.
Add any decorative favor tags as desired to your lids and don’t forget to put out a small basket of crackers or homemade biscuits so they can sample the jam!

When I went to my family reunion this past summer, I stayed at my cousin’s house. We had grown up next door to one another and have been best friends for as long as we can remember. I went a few days early so we could catch up since we live four hours away from one another now. While we were catching up, she showed me how to make earrings. I had complimented her on her earrings when I first got there and I was flabbergasted when she told me she made them herself. She showed me step by step how to make them, and then she showed me the website where she learned all of this. It shouldn’t have surprised me that we both really enjoyed it because we are alike in so many ways. I learned this just in time too because I have been making necklaces and earrings for some really special women in my life. I am giving these necklaces and earrings to them for Christmas gifts!
