People in these modern times suffer some of the worst diseases ever. But of all the scary things that are out there, there are 3 that we need to worry about the most. These 3 diseases are not only diagnosed more than any other diseases, but are some of the leading causes of death among Americans.
The first thing we need to worry about is heart disease. This really is the leading cause of death in the U.S. Most cases of heart disease are linnked to diets high in omega 6 fatty acids and an over abundance of free radicals.
The second disease to be on the watch out for is diabetes. More Americans than ever have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. This disease is attributed to eating too much sugar and refined carbohydrate sources, such as bread and pasta.
The third issue to watch out for is cancer. While the body is known to produce cancerous cells no matter what we do, the trick is to keep them from attaching themselves to other cells. In a healthy body, cancer cells simply die off if they can’t attach to a healthy cell. People with weakened immune systems and weakened cells are highly susceptable to cancer.
The interesting thing is we can protect ourselves from many diseased, such as the 3 above, simply by eating right. We can reduce our consumption of sugar and refined carbohydrates. We can eat to strengthen our cells, and we can get rid of the free radicals and omega 6′s. All we need is a diet like the paleo diet to keep us fit, trim and in the perfect health.

I really want to buy coconut oil for cooking. For twenty years I have been using vegetable oil for every dish that I cook. Now I would love to try coconut oil for cooking because I have read in an article in a lifestyle magazine that coconut oil is cheap yet is effective in adding flavor to dishes. Putting aside the health benefits that they coconut oil has, I am just curious what the taste of a dish that is cooked with coconut oil might be.
My friend in college who now lives in the United States told me that she has been using coconut oil for two years since she opened a restaurant in New York. She said that coconut oil is different from any other oil in that it has a naturally earthy and sweet aroma. The food smells more appealing, giving off a mouth-watering aroma.
She would always tell me that while frying something using coconut oil, she could not resist the delightful aroma. She’d get so inspired that she’d end up frying more food. She was so convincing that now I am searching for stores that offer the best brands of coconut oil for cooking. For the next few months, I’ll be trying my hand at cooking recipes with coconut oil. Who knows, I just might use coconut oil for cooking for the rest of my life.

Next week, we will be traveling with the whole family to give an astronomy presentation in Reno, Nevada. The trip will probably take about eight hours of driving time so we will need to plan for any kind of roadside emergency. We already have emergency roadside service, but we will want to be prepared with emergency food and supplies just in case we have car trouble in a remote place where it will take long for a tow track to get to us. Hopefully, we will not have snowfall along the way, but if we do, we will be sure to take our snow chains. Along with our emergency supplies, we will have plenty of blankets and bottles of water. Toilet paper and flashlights will also be stuffed into our emergency supply bag. Before we actually leave for the trip, we always take our van in to be inspected by an auto repair shop. Knowing that all mechanical issues are checked gives us peace of mind before we drive out of town. Once we pack the van with the supplies and a spare tire, then we will be ready for our Nevada trip. We will be well prepared for any kind of emergency that should arise.
